MarieAnne and Friends
Welcome to the home of MarieAnne and friends. MarieAnne is the story of two early Boomers who find each other late in life. It is an examination of mature love. Love which still has the ardor and passion of discovery with the appreciation and perspective of experience. This is the story of soulmates and the life that ensues. Our couple will be joined by Bill and Maggie, Silvia, Addy, Bob and Claire, Ricky and Anna, George, Nina, and two inanimate, but essential elements – Bella (a car) and Judy (a jukebox). Music will be an integral part of this story. I will use various songs of the 50s and 60s to augment and advance the story. The intent is to shine a favorable light on modern maturity, which still holds much hope and promise. MarieAnne is a story of Boomers, by a Boomer. Other stories will address other generations, other situations. I’m sure you’ll find something you’ll like, something that will touch you. Who knows, you might meet new friends. Join us, you’ll enjoy the journey.

Righteous Brothers – Singers – Unchained Melody (1965)It was July 1965 version by the Righteous Brothers, performed as a solo by Bobby Hatfield, that became a jukebox standard for the late 20th century. This version achieved a second round of great popularity when it was featured in the film Ghost (1990). In 2004, it finished at number 27 on AFI's 100 Years…100 Songs survey of top tunes in American cinema.
